You know the drill: each year you get the whole family together and head off for the mountains for the weeklong camping trip, you go kayaking, you roast weiners over an open fire, you go on several nature trips, you fill up your digital camera full of shots of this and other RV camping pics. Or, you go to the beach and do the same thing, or off to the dunes for ATVing. Wherever you go, you get a whole slew of digital files of your RV camping pics, and now you want to know what do with them. What is the best way to deal with all the pictures you collect?

The very first thing you need to do is pare down the number of images you have. While the huge increase in memory size of digital cameras has allowed people to take literally thousands of images in a single day, having thousands upon thousands of RV camping pics from a single trip is really a bit of overkill. You will need to sift through the mass of them to selectively choose the ones that are the best. This is good, though, since taking a whole slew of photos will improve your ability to frame images and the like. Once you have a more manageable number of images you will be able to proceed to choosing what you want to do with the files you have.

Once you have gotten rid of your excess RV camping pics, you can make a decision about what to do with them. If you are going to use them to make a printed album, there are several ways for you to proceed. If you have a photo printer at home you can print them out yourself and then put them into an album. If not, there are internet photo printing options, as well as machines at places like Walmart and Target which will print out your files, for a fee. Once you get these you can do with them what you will.

Of course, a physical printed photo album is only one thing that many people do with their digital files. You can also use your RV camping pics to make a digital photo presentation that you burn onto CDs and send out to everyone who came RVing with you. This can be a very efficient way to consolidate the space taken up by printed photos, as literally thousands of digital photo albums will fit on the space required for a single physical album.

If you decide not to do any of the above options, you can also use an online service such as Flickr to share your RV camping pics. Then all you need to do is send your friends and family the address of your Flickr page, and they can access your photos, grouped as you like, from any computer with internet access.

Each summer hundreds of thousands of people flock to see the natural wonders contained within Yellowstone National Park. Sites such as Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, Fort Yellowstone, and Roosevelt Tower bring people from around the world. If you are considering a visit to Yellowstone, and all it has to offer, why not consider bringing your RV. Yellowstone RV camping is quite an experience and numerous options are available to allow you to get the most out of both your RV and the park.

Some of the areas of Yellowstone are truly wild, the backcountry. You might find some of it interesting to visit, after setting your RV up at a base camp and then trekking out. Yellowstone RV camping can also be a more affordable way to see the park than staying in the area’s hotels, since they get quite expensive during the summer months.

There are eleven campgrounds inside Yellowstone park. If you are going to try to stay at one of them, it is recommended you contact the company that administrates them, Xanterra, to set up a reservation. Nothing can frustrate a Yellowstone RV camping trip more than looking for a site at five or six campgrounds before finding one. Contact the campgrounds in advance especially if your RV is over 30′ long, since only a few of them have spaces in place for RVs of that size. Accomodations and hookups vary from campground to campground within Yellowstone, some of the having showers and toilets, dumping facilities, etc, and some having nothing whatsoever.

If you elect not do your Yellowstone RV camping within the park itself, there are several other options available to you. These range in distance from very close to the park’s entrance to around 30 – 40 miles outside of it. The closest are Rocky Mountain Campground, Yellowstone RV Park, and Eagle Creek. These, like the park, can be quite busy during the summer, so if you are planning a visit make sure to make reservations, or you will have to work your way out in ever further circles to find a place to stay.

When Yellowstone RV camping, there are some things that you need to keep in mind. If you go out on any long outings, be sure not to drink any unpurified water, as giardia is increasing in the streams and waterways throughout the park. Unfortunately, the crisp clear mountain streams are not so clean as the appear. Also, stick to designated paths, as there are areas where scalding water runs just below the surface of the earth. People who are Yellowstone RV camping should also be wary of bears. Do as the park officials advise and do not feed wild animals. Feeding them only puts you at risk and makes them more aggressive, which will eventually lead to their deaths.

If you think of the skyscrapers of LA or the Hollywood sign when you think of Southern California, then you need to think again. While Los Angeles is definitely a must see draw to the area, and the possibility of glimpsing the most recent Hollywood starlet tantalizes the masses of people who throng Sunset Boulevard, there is far more to Southern California than the big city. Southern California RV camping is also something that brings many people to the Sunshine State. And, like fine wines and movies, RVing is something that California does like no other place on Earth.

If you are thinking about coming to experience what Southern California RV camping has to offer, then there are some things that you should know and some things you should make decisions on before you leave. The first thing you need to do is make a decision about where you want to go: the coast, the city, or a nature park, or maybe even Disney Land. Or maybe you have some where else in particular. But you need to decide where you are going so that you can make arrangements about where you want to stay.

If you are unsure about where exactly you want to go, but know that you just want to do some Southern California RV camping, then you might consider some of the following places. For a good beach campground, Carpinteria, Malibu Creek, Point Mugu, and Refugio are hard to beat with their combination of full service beachside towns and awesome surf. On the other hand, you might try Anaheim and Disney Land, which is a very popular destination for families. Disney has set up a full service campground to serve the park. Southern California RV camping is also a very good way to explore the great outdoors. Parks such as Joshua Tree and Torrey Pines demonstrate the diversity of California’s outdoor landscapes.

Once you have decided where you want to go, you should start thinking about when. During the summer months, pretty much all of Southern California’s campground can be very packed, so you will want to book ahead. Southern California RV camping can be a lot of fun, but also a large headache if not planned ahead enough. The most popular beaches can fill up months in advance: so plan accordingly.

California is also notorious for its freeways, and navigating them with a large RV can be an interesting experience. The coastal highways, especially, can be bumper to bumper for miles during the summer during peak hours, so, if at all possible, try to schedule your arrival and departure times from campgrounds around rush hour traffic. It is better to sit on the beach, in a museum, or in a cafe than in traffic.

The scenic coastal coves of Northern California with their diverse marine life, the towering forests of sequoia and redwood trees, the historic old centers for mining and government–there are many things to see while RV camping in Northern California. But sometimes the difference between the trip of a lifetime and a world of headaches is as simple as choosing the right spot for your RV, so this guide outlines a few of the best places to visit and avoid while RV camping in Northern California.

Perhaps the most spectacular trees in the world, the sequoias are found in select areas of Northern California. They can be some of the best things to see while RV camping in Northern California, but not all campgrounds are as RV friendly as others, and some are better suited to specific types of Rvs. Whenever you are booking ahead, make sure to ask for specific details about hook-up capabilities and ease of access, especially if you have special requirements or an especially large RV. An awe of nature will quickly turn to frustration if your campground is stuck in the middle of a stand of redwoods and the road is too tight for your RV to get through. Some of the better places to see the big trees while RV camping in Northern California are Sequoia National Park and Redwood National Park.

California is known as the Sunshine State, and what better way to enjoy the sunshine than on the beach? Highlights include Fort Bragg’s Beach and Half Moon Bay. Some of the best beaches for RV camping in Northern California, including the two listed here, fill up rapidly during the summer months–sometimes with several weeks of reservations booked solid. So make sure to book in advance to avoid any let downs when you get to the campground.

Another area that attracts many people to RV camping in Northern California are the old ghost towns, such as Bodie. Because of the rapid rise and fall of the California gold rush, many such towns erupted into existence and then evaporated under the desert sun after the gold dried up, leaving the husks of their buildings. Remember to get your AC checked if you are going in the summer, and try to drive before the sun is at its hottest to spare your vehicle’s engine an overly stressful drive.

Finally, many people are interested in seeing the historic state capitol of Sacramento, but not interested in staying in or paying for a cramped hotel room within the city. RV camping in one of the cities campgrounds, or outside the city limits, can be a good solution. But remember to check the schedule of the monuments over your stay before you leave. Erratically scheduled and carried out renovations can leave you with an unpleasant surprise on arriving to the city.

RVs are the hottest thing on the market with people who want to get away when they want, without the hassle of reserving a hotel room. They bring a bit civilization to the outdoors. But the cost of a new RV can be prohibitive for some people. Which is why more and more used recreation vehicles are being sold today. And while it is true that if you get a good used RV, buying one of the many used recreation vehicles with problems will cost you no end of money or headaches. Before you go out to look, there are some things you can know to avoid the lemons.

Used recreation vehicles come in all shapes and sizes. You’ll be able to find all classes of motorhomes, a wide array of campers and boats, and both hitch and fifth wheel trailers. The thing that you have to remember about RVs is that once a new RV is driven off the lot, it becomes a used one. So, even if used recreation vehicles only have 100 miles on them, and no problems, they are worth considerably less than a new RV of the same make. This works to your advantage as a buyer.

When you are looking at used recreation vehicles, there are some things that you need to keep in mind. First, try to get a VIN history done for the vehicle. This service is done free on many websites, so if you’ve got the time to do it, do so. You can find out about any problems that the car has had if the mechanic who did the work reported the VIN. This can aid you in deciding whether or not used recreation vehicles are lemons. No matter if you buy your used RV from a dealer or from a private party, inspect it thoroughly. Bear in mind, though, that buying from a dealer may give you some options about getting repairs done. Private parties tend to sell things as is, so if you discover rot that was not apparent when you bought it, it is your money that will have to repair it.

When you are looking at used recreation vehicles, inspect the outer shell thoroughly. Look for any buckles or cracks. If you see any, odds are that there is some rot underneath. Check the roof the same way. In the interior, check all the cabinets, the fridge, and everything just as thoroughly as the exterior. Turn over the sofa cushions too.

Finally, some people choose to buy an extended warranty when they buy a used RV. This may or may not be the option for you. But it does offer a peace of mind, if for a price.

Whether it is a new-fangled gizmo to play your .mp3 player on the RV’s build in stereo, or a new take on a golden oldy, like a flourescent camping lamp, this article has the essentials of what you need to get to outfit yourself with the best RV camping equipment for sale.

The first step in determining what sort of RV camping equipment for sale you are going to need is to determine what sort of camping you are going to do. If you are headed deep into the backwoods or well off the beaten path, then you might consider a solar panel system to charge your RV. This way, you can prolong the life of your batteries–and TV watching. Another thing that might be of use to serious campers is an RV water purification system. These come in various types and sizes, and handle various amounts of water.

Whatever your particular RVing passion, there is a list of RV camping equipment for sale that pretty much everyone can enjoy:

1. Satellite TV for your RV. You know the deal: your team made the playoffs and the semifinal is the first night of your trip to the lake. What do you do, go find a sports bar? Wrong: you watch it on the big screen in your home away from home with a Satellite Dish for your RV.
2. LED outdoor lights. The vast improvement in the efficiency of lighting make these little babies one of the best bits of RV camping equipment for sale.
3. A propane stove for cook-outs. While your RV might have a deluxe oven inside, no RV vacation is complete without fiddling around with a Coleman style gas stove. It works well with cast iron skillets and waffle irons to make the perfect, greasy, high-mountain breakfast.
4. An awning. If your RV didn’t come with an awning, there are few things that will so greatly improve your trip as getting one. Another RV camping equipment for sale, because no one wants to get cooked by the sun when they’re on vacation.
5. GPS system. It’s a given that no one wants to get lost on vacations. But it’s also true that it will happen unless you take steps to prevent it. Save yourself the trouble of having to stop and ask directions by adding a GPS system to your wish-list of RV camping equipment for sale.

By getting the right equipment, your vacation will be ten times the fun. The list above will help anyone out, but for specific locations, such as the beach or a ski resort, you will need specific things. Do some research to make sure that you’ve got all that’s necessary.

Travelling the Blue Ridge Mountains in the southern United States will continually surprise you as you cruise past first a folk arts fair, then a museum to Appalachian culture, then a breath-taking shimmering lake. Stretching all the way from Pennsylvania to Georgia, the mountains are a world of possibilities, and Blue Ridge RV camping is one of the best ways to see them. You can travel about in the comfort of your own place, at your one pace, and stay near to the things you want to see. And some of the attractions of the Blue Ridge area are uniquely suited to RVing.

One of the fastest growing business and attractions within the Blue Ridge region is wine-making. While California may still be the viticultural behemoth of the United States, the east coast wine industries is its plucky younger brother who boasts more than a few surprises. Blue Ridge RV camping can be an excellent way to tour the wineries of the region, as you can set up camp and then head out to see what the local area offers. After you’ve sipped all that one area has to offer, picking up and heading to the next spot is as easy as turning turning your key in the ignition.

Blue Ridge RV camping isn’t restricted to wine touring, however. Many people who head to the mountains have something else in mind completely: a bit of blue-grass music! Mountain music sites abound throughout the Appalachian range, and those taking a Blue Ridge RV camping trip will not be disappointed by the range available to them. A bit of research before your trip will pay off, however, as many of the best acts and venues are small time and not easily booked too far in advance. Some of the best places to see blue grass musicians are in fact local coffee houses such as the Purple Fiddle in Thomas, West Virginia. Give places near your itinerary a ring and see what acts are scheduled during your stay.

Blue Ridge RV Camping is also one of the best ways to have an outdoor adventure. You can travel with your RV through some of the most beautiful landscapes in North America on your way to an exciting white water rafting or a relaxing fishing trip. White water rafting attracts many people to the Blue Ridge Mountains each year, and for thrill seekers it is a hard thing to beat. For the more subdued, there are numerous creeks, rivers, ponds and lakes that are home to hundreds of thousands if not millions of fish all waiting for a chance at your bait during your next Blue Ridge RV Camping trip. Be sure to make reservations for rafting trips, as growing popularity in recent years makes reservations essential.

If you think that the only time you can enjoy your family’s RV is during the summer, you are wrong. Unlike what most people would believe, winter RV camping is becoming more and more popular, due to many things, not the least of which is the increasing crowds that overflow campgrounds during the summer. Winter RV camping is just one way to avoid the hassle of a million people packed into a single space, and get a bit closer to the great outdoors. And, with the proper planning and correct equipment, it is easier than you might think.

Successful winter RV camping begins with the proper RV. For the best results, people who go winter RV camping should opt for a smaller RV, which is easier to heat than one of the massive 45′ behemoths. It is also easier to get into a campground on sometime slick winter roads with a truck and trailer or a truck and camper or camper shell than with a large motorhome. Just keep in mind the logistics of your trip when you are considering going. As in all things, be practical.

Some RVs have been designed especially for colder temperatures. These models have denser insulation to protect them from frigid winds and freezing nights. If you are planning a winter RV camping trip to a place with extremely cold winters, it would be wise to have the right equipment. Again, be practical.

Hand in hand with the right recreation vehicle for winter RV camping is the right RV accessory. Many campgrounds that offer hook-ups during the summer do not offer them during the winter. So, if you RV relies on electricity for heating, you will need to get a generator to supply it with enough juice to keep you warm. Do some research on available generator models, as some will function more or less efficiently–or not at all–at certain temperatures. Get one that suits the needs of your trip.

Another thing to keep in mind is what to pack. You will of course want to pack the proper sort of clothing. Snow boots, snow clothes, sleds, and all the trappings should be included in your store of equipment. If you are planning to do any trekking, bring two pairs of shoes so that you can alternate between them to allow them to dry out.

And, one last word of caution. If you are going to take a winter RV camping trip, pack enough food to last for a week or so longer than you plan to stay. You never know if a freak winter storm will blow in and leave you snowed in for several days longer than you expected. It is better to be safe than sorry.

As professional life becomes more and more demanding, and the kids are placed under ever more strain at school, it becomes increasingly necessary to have a good vacation. And there is little activity more relaxing than spending a weekend or a week off with the majesty of mother nature RV camping. What is RV camping, and what is the best way to ensure you have a good time doing it? The following article tells you a bit about the best ways to take in the great outdoors with an RV.

The first thing to know about RV camping is what RV means. RV stands for recreational vehicle, which translates into plain english as pretty much anything that has wheels and is used for having fun: no matter how big, whether it is a pint sized 20 footer or a monstrous motorhome, anything that is a mobile home base for camping is an RV.

If you are considering going RV camping, you need to decide what sort of trip you want to have. Do you want a quick weekend excursion to the river, or are you looking for a month-long trek across the nation touring as much splendor as you can? Whichever type of get away you choose, there is a type of RV to suit your needs. The best way to find which one is for you is to choose a specific sort of trip you will be taking most often and do some research on it.

When you do decide to get your RV for RV Camping, have the general model in mind when you go shopping, but don’t be too specific. You will want to get inside several different RVs and get a feel for the one that is right for you. Play around with all the amenities that RVs offer. Flick light switches, check cabinets. If you are not certain about which RV is best for you, consider taking one for a “test drive” by renting the model for a weekend. There is no better way to get to know how an RV works than by seeing for yourself. When you find one that suits you, both in its model and character, then you are ready for the next step: planning your trip.

When you are finally ready to pack for your RV camping trip, remember to pack appropriately. If you are going for a couple of days on the lake and really want to make use of your RV’s DVD player, remember you are only staying for a couple of days: so you don’t need to bring your entire video library. Remember RVs are about having fun, and over cluttering them so they become crowded makes the less recreational than in need of organizing. Nothing recalls the daily grind like having to multi-task in order to have fun.

While you might think that Westchester County is too close to New York City for it to be a very good location for RVing, there are actually plenty of places to go for a good camping experience. In fact, with a bit of guidance, anyone can have the time of his life RV camping Westchester County. All it takes it a bit of sense and information. This article will give you more than enough of both to have a successful trip.

Westchester County has an intricate and expansive system of parks that are meant to accommodate all manner of outdoor activities, camping included. Depending on the park to which you go, you will be able to have up to full hook-ups for RV camping Westchester County. Two of the most popular parks for recreation vehicles are Croton Point Park and Ward Pound Ridge, both of which offer sites with a range of hook-ups, with varying daily and weekly rates.

Of course, finding a site for RV camping Westchester County is only the first part of your trip. Once you are situated, you will be prepared to go out and visit the attractions in the county. Depending on your interests, you will find many different things to do. A good place to start looking might be one of the Seven Wonders of Westchester, seven of the most popular tourist sites within the county. These are Caramoor Center for the Arts, the Hudson River Museum, the Katonah Museum of Art, Kykuit, Lyndhurst, Neuberger Museum of Art, Philipsburg Manor, and the Performing Arts Center. Each of these sites attracts thousands of people each year. Or, you might consider a trip to Playland, the United States first fully planned amusement park. It was the inspiration for the Magic Mountains and Busch Gardens of today.

In addition to these things, there are many American Revolutionary War sites that are easily accessible from many of the camp grounds within the county. It makes for an excellent Fourth of July weekend of RV camping Westchester County to make an itinerary of the sites from the Revolutionary War, such as Thomas Paine’s Cottage and Patriots park, before heading back to the campsite to BBQ some hamburgers and watch one of the County’s fireworks displays. Few things are as American as fireworks and RV camping.

Some final words of advise before you start RV camping Westchester County. If you are planning to go during peak season–which includes pretty much the whole summer, but especially holiday weekends–you must be sure to make reservations in advance.

Now that RV camping stores are such a huge industry, many companies are getting into the game for a quick profit without much concern about providing a quality product or good customer service. Because of this, buyers need to be extra wary when going to RV camping stores that they are unfamiliar with. There are a few simple steps you can take to protect yourself from being taken in by a less than stellar RV camping equipment vendor and protect yourself from loss of time and money. In the end, a little be of caution goes a long way.

The first thing to consider is what sort of store you are dealing with. If you are dealing with a store with a physical location, especially a store that is a large national brand, you can rest fairly assured that you are more or less covered according to what the stores claims. All that said, whichever of the national RV camping stores, make sure you read the fine print on the product return policies and the like, because you cannot expect to be handed any favors–especially by a large national chain. RV camping stores that are small Mom and Pop operations will be more likely to make an exception for you, if you are a loyal customer that they recognize, than massive chains. The Mom and Pops know you are necessary for their continued business, so they will try to make sure that you keep coming back for more. On the other hand, small independents may or may not be customer service oriented. Trial and error is the only way to find out.

With the rise of e-commerce, online retailers have taken off, and the RV camping stores that have set up internet store-fronts are no exception. You can shop for camping supplies for your RV all day, seven days a week. This of course means that you don’t get the pleasure of browsing aisles and picking things up with your hands, and that you will also have to wait for your package to be delivered in the mail–and likely have to pay for that delivery–but it also can mean that you save a certain percentage over the cost of the same item at a retail location. The bad thing about internet retailers is that you do not get to walk out of the establishment with your purchase. Dealing with RV camping stores that are solely online ventures and that are also unscrupulous about selling faulty merchandise can be a real pain in the neck.

So what is one to do when he is deciding where to go out of the RV camping stores available to him? Well, the first thing to do is shop around all the real stores in you area. If you find a small independent or a chain location where the staff is very polite, knowledgeable and helpful, then think about purchasing your goods there.

Recreation Vehicles, or RVs, are climbing in popularity in the United States, for good reason. When you have your own RV, you have a movable home that you can take anywhere you want to go: to the lake, on a cross country sightseeing tour, or to the beach for a month. But some things about RVs can be counterintuitive or less than obvious. So, there are a few things that everyone should know so that they can get the most out of recreation vehicles and use them without having any problems.

The first thing to know about recreation vehicles is fire prevention. You are probably familiar with the stories about vacation turned to nightmares by an RV fire. Always keep your recreation vehicle in good shape, with regular tune-ups and fluid changes. Also, keep an eye out for any fluids leaking from the motor or the body of the RV. If you see anything suspicious, get it checked out. Finally, be alert when driving. If you notice a sudden change in the RV’s performance, then stop and see if anything is wrong.

RVing can be even more fun when you add in a few time-saving appliances. Many recreation vehicles come equipped with a basic kitchen and perhaps a television and VCR or DVD player, but there are loads of other things you can add if you think your trip would benefit from them. If you can’t stand to miss a single game, there are satellite dishes that can be installed to the roof of your RV to keep you connected. Likewise, while many might scoff at the idea of adding a washing machine to their RV, no one would line up to spend time washing clothes in a laundromat. The time you save might justify the investment. There are many such appliances for recreation vehicles that you can look into.

Finally, when you are packing your recreation vehicles, keep in mind your destination. It’s no fun to be on a two week trip and have only clothes for a weekend. This might seem like an obvious example, but extrapolate from it: if you are going to be gone for several weeks, make sure the RV is well stocked. On the other hand, if you are just going for a quick trip, there is no need to load and unload a ton of supplies. Keep your packing appropriate.

These are just a few simple steps that anyone can take to get the most out of their RVing trip. The specific requirements of your own trip will determine what else you, in particular, have to do. Poke around and do some reading to see if there is something specific to your type of trip that you need to do.

Going on your camping trip in a RV is one of the most comfortable ways to travel, but you will need some RV camping supplies to make the camping adventure both fun and successful. One of the great things about camping with a RV is that you have plenty of room to store and transport RV camping supplies. You won’t have to leave behind your fishing poles, dutch ovens, portable grills, hammocks, camp chairs, and other fun camping supplies. Be sure to stock your RV with the right camping supplies before you leave so that your trip can be the best possible.

A great way to prepare for a RV camping trip is to create a camping supplies checklist. This way, you can be sure not to leave behind any essential RV camping supplies. Your RV camping supply checklist can be divided up into categories, and include emergency gear, camp cooking equipment, outdoor recreation equipment, and other camping supplies.

Many RV camping supplies are designed to make your stay at the campsite more comfortable and enjoyable. A RV awning is a helpful addition to your RV, especially when camping during hot and sunny months. The shade of the awning provides a great gathering place for lounging in camp chairs, an and it also provides a protected place to prepare food, especially if it is raining. RV window covers are another useful accessory for your camping trip during hot months, allowing the interior of your RV to stay cool and livable.

RV camping supplies can easily be found online, and web sites allow you to browse a wide range of products in order to find exactly what will be right for you and your camping RV. Discount RV camping supplies can be found, and shopping and price comparison through online web sites can easily be done from your own home computer.

When at the campground in your RV, it is important to be considerate of your neighbors and follow a few campground guidelines. The campground is a public space that you are sharing with others, and keeping a few things in mind can make the stay pleasant for everyone. For example, try not to run your RV generator at night that may create noise and bother your camping neighbors. It is also impolite to use the campground’s water supply to fill up your RV tank. Other simple campground rules to follow include keeping noise levels down after the quiet hour, not leaving trash out or food out that can attract animals, not building fires too close to other camper’s tents, and not letting your children or pets run loose around the campgrounds.

Camping has long been a favorite leisure pastime for American families and this has increased with the growth in the rv camping equipment market. There was a time when camping meant a good old hike carrying a tent and sleeping bag. Nowadays camping can be far more sophisticated for those who want it that way.

In recent years there has been an increasing taste for rv or relaxation vehicle camping. There is now plenty of rv camping equipment available on the market. This type of camping holiday can be enjoyed in a number of different ways depending on your budget and your preference. There are a good number of vehicles that fall under the heading of recreational vehicle – and the type of rv camping equipment that you require will depend on the kind of trip you intend taking and what level of comfort you expect.

RV camping equipment starts with the vehicle itself. This can be a motor home, a caravan, a trailer or a tent trailer. There are also rvs that can be hooked up to your ordinary car like a caravan. People are even converting old vans, buses and trucks into recreational vehicles. There is also the self-contained up to the minute motor home. These recreational vehicles are the land equivalent of canal boats and fitted sailing boats.

When you engage in rv camping you can have all the comforts of home on the road. This means that some companies have a full range of rv camping equipment which is much the same range as you would expect if you were furnishing a small house. For example your mobile home will probably contain a comfortable bed and perhaps even shower or full size cooker and fridge. Some of them will be carpeted and may even contain their own entertainment systems.

RV camping gives you all the comforts and amenities of home when you are on the road. More to the point it is a much cheaper way of holidaying than staying in hotels. Many people find that an investment in a camping vehicle and rv camping equipment is a good investment because they save so much money on future vacations. Taking an rv on the road is as good as having your own traveling motel room wherever you go.

The rv is a self contained unit with many of the more up market vehicles now being equipped with heating and air conditioning systems. They may have their own small generator for electricity or they can be hooked up somewhere and recharged. These vehicles are becoming so sophisticated now that people live in them all the year round – not just on vacation.

Whether you’re going to be in Bakersfield for a day, a week, or longer, you will want to choose a place to stay that is right for your needs, and is appropriate for your RV. RV camping Bakersfield California is popular, though, which helps you because there has already been a lot of groundwork laid to attract people to the area.

Whenever you are going on a RV camping trip you should learn a little bit about the place you are visiting. RV camping Bakersfield California is no exception, so you should do a little research about events and happenings that will work well for your trip. The city has many old and celebrated Basque restaurants which serve multi-course, traditional meals, as well as a la carte dinners. Bakersfield also has a long tradition in country music – the city’s nickname is “California’s country music capital” – and is also the home of the famous metal band KoRn. And for racing enthusiasts, there is the Bakersfield raceway.

When you are looking for camp grounds for RV camping Bakersfield California, you will see that there are several. The most popular are the Bakersfield KOA and the Bakersfield Palms. The KOA location offers accomodations ranging from tent sites to large pull through locations for larger RVs, free morning coffee, and a swimming pool, for competitive rates. Bakersfield Palms is set among many palm and fruit trees. Its amenities include WiFi internet access throughout the Internet hotspot inside the campground, instant phone service for all RV sites, and a mini-mart for whatever you forget to pack.

After your decided where to stay when RV camping Bakersfield California, you can decide what to do when you’re on your trip. There is a very popular theme park located about 80 miles south of Bakersfield, Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, that makes for a good day trip for those who like to ride rollercoasters. During the summer months, there is also a popular water park nearby to Magic Mountain, called Hurricane Harbor, which is a good way to escape the desert heat.

There are some things to keep in mind while RV camping Bakersfield California, and when planning your trip. If you are going to go during the summer months, remember that driving conditions during the day can be extreme. Be sure that your RV is in good running condition, recently serviced, and the like. And don’t forget the sun-screen!

It’s really amazing how many different types of lanterns are released by RV camping suppliers to market every year. Gas, incandescent, LCD, fluorescent: there are so many different types, it gets confusing. And that’s only for lanterns! The rest of RV camping suppliers all have just as many different iterations and variations, and new things are coming out all the time. What’s a RV owner to do?

The simple answer is simplicity. Take what you need from the RV camping suppliers available and nothing more. There are certain devices and appliances that can really make a vacation more pleasurable, and these are good things to add to your RV. The rest of it you can leave for your gotta-have-it-all-neighbor who never seems to get down to enjoying his vacations.

A first thing to consider adding to your stock from RV camping suppliers is a Satellite dish. Because, as is obvious, there are certain things that you don’t want to get away from when you are getting away from it all: things like your favorite TV show. Satellite TV for your RV keeps you connected to your shows while you’re away in the woods or on the road.

You also should have an awning installed on your RV. Of all the RV camping suppliers available, those stocking awnings are probably the most useful. They provide a bit of respite from the summer sun at the beach, and a cool shady spot from which to enjoy mountain breezes. Every camping trip is improved by an awning–and while you’re at it, get a turf mat or carpet to put underneath it.

Because it is inevitable that people get lost in strange places, and you, in spite of your best efforts, will be one of those people eventually, you should invest in a GPS system for your RV. Not only do these lovely devices make getting there all that much easier, they also give better directions that 17 year old attendants at gas stations. Save yourself the trouble of asking for help: get it in advance.

You might also consider some LED outdoor lights. These consume almost no energy and have long lasting bulbs: a perfect choice for low maintenance RVing.

These are some of the most basic items available from RV camping suppliers, and only the most basic. If you are going for a specific type of RVing trip, you will want to look into what’s needed for it in particular. But, whatever type of trip you do take, remember the golden rule is to take only what you’re going to use, and always what you are going to use. Excess backage means excess work, but lack of supplies means even more trouble.

RV Recreation Vehicles are becoming more and more common in the USA. Perhaps you’re thinking about getting one for yourself, in hopes of taking trips to the lake or the beach on weekends. Or maybe you are thinking about becoming one of the modern world’s nomads, putting all your belongings into an RV and going off on the open road for years on end. Whatever your goal, choosing the right type from all the RV Recreation vehicles available can be a difficult thing if you don’t know what you are looking for.

The first thing that everyone should know about RV recreation vehicles is the classes they are broken down into. There are three general types of RVs: A, B, and C. Each suits a different sort of use, and each type tends to cost a bit more or less than the others.

Class A RV recreation vehicles are the royalty of the RV world. They are large, offer the most storage space and luxury, and can be quite finicky about who they let service them. They are the “boxish” looking RVs, the ones with the cab as an extension of the living quarters. These are the upper end of RVs, and available models can be quite comfortable. The downside to luxury is the difficulty of maneuvering the large A class through traffic, and some camp grounds do not have the infrastructure–the road design–for class A RVs.

Class B RV recreation vehicles are vans that have been converted to be an RV. They are the smallest class of RVs, and also in general the most affordable. They offer the least amount of space, but are far easier to drive around than a Class A RV. Because of their relative ease of use and affordability, Class B RVs can be very popular.

Class C RV recreation vehicles are the middle ground between Class A and Class B. They are built from a modified truck or van chassis, and have the tell-tale sleeper protruding over the cab. Class C RVs are a good choice if you want more room than a Class B, but are not comfortable driving around a Class A. They are the choice that is a compromise between the pros and cons of the other two classes, and the price for them tends to range between upper market Class Bs to lower Market Class As.

If you decide that you are going to buy an RV, make a quick list of the things that you want to get out of yours. Rank your list in order of priority. Is it more important to you to have lots of extra space than driving ease? Do you want better fuel economy and carefree driving? What is your price range? Once you are more sure of what you want you are better equipped to make the right decision when you buy your own RV.

It can be difficult to know where to start when looking at recreation vehicles for sale. Where is a good place to buy? Should you buy new or used? There are some simple steps to follow to sift through the recreation vehicles for sale near you to get the best deal for your money.

First, when you are looking at a used RV, take a checklist of things to examine. As RVs can be subject to dry rot, it is wise to make sure that any used RV you are considering does not have it, by looking for loose screws that don’t tighten, or any buckling or bubbling in the exterior panels. Other things to check include the roof lining and the lights, etc. Open all the cupboards and drawers and make sure everything is safe and sound. Many used recreation vehicles for sale have minor or major problems, some of which their owners may not be so keen on revealing to you. A good inspection before purchasing will save you time and money in the long-run.

If you are going to buy a new RV, you should know that almost all of the ones on the lot can be bargained for. In fact, most recreation vehicles for sale have been marked up as much as 40%, so there is definitely a little wriggle room in the pricing. Another thing to avoid is buying a dead brand RV. Dead, or “orphan,” RV brands are those that have been discontinued. This may mean a large savings up front on the purchase price, but down the road will cost a premium to track down repair parts. Another thing to consider about buying an RV is dealer coverage. Each brand of RV has a differing level of national repair shop coverage. If your dealer doesn’t have a location near to you, then it can get expensive travelling to and from the garage for repairs. Choose from the recreation vehicles for sale that have a wide national repair coverage.

Two final things to consider when you are purchasing your RV: resale and most likely use. If you plan to resale your RV at some point in the future, remember to steer clear of close-out models, such as those with older style layouts–such as only one bathroom, through the bedroom–or from a dead brand, because future buyers likely will shy away from them. And, keep in mind what you are going to use your RV for. If you plan to tour the country, get a model that rates highly for highway dependability. But if you are going to spend most of the time lounging around a campsite, get one with the layout best suited to your style of relaxation.
