If you are traveling on months of July and August, you need to book ahead of time because it is considered to be the busiest months of the year for backpackers.
Getting around Europe by Eurail or InterRail
Traveling through train is the most popular way of visiting Europe. The continent has developed different modern train systems around the major locations. It is the convenient way of traveling and can take you wherever you wan to go.
Eurail is a type of rail pass to board Europe's train. Its cost is very low compared to the cost you will incur when purchasing individual tickets. It also offers discount to tourist attractions as well. However, you need to check the options for rail passes.
There are such that is just valid on certain regions or just valid on the date of the travel. In such cases, go for passes with a long validity period or unlimited amount of days of travel.
Eurail is only for non-European travelers. If happens that you are a European, you can get an InterRail pass. It is also cheaper and also valid for use outside your home country. Make sure that you have purchased your rail passes before you leave for Europe.
Your Backpack
It is advised that you only load your backpack with the things that you only need while you are on the trip. If you are planning to go out occasionally, just pack one nice shirt and a pair of pants or skirts and you off to go.
However, do not forget to bring a nice pair of shoes if you will be getting into clubs. Unlike in United States, bouncers in Europe do not allow anybody who just wears a pair of sneakers.
